Biography

Sarah Ford of Kanab, Utah married Daniel Boone Lee Thomas at Prescott, Arizona on September 6, 1927. She was raised "near the Navajo reservation on the Utah-Arizona border." She helped manage the Rainbow Lodge near Rainbow Natural Bridge with her husband. They later returned to the Thomas Family ranch east of Ault, Colorado. Books along with other items were given to the library by Sarah Thomas, widow of Dan Thomas, c 1971, when the Thomas home near Ault was sold. William Southard of Greeley was the attorney. Correspondence about the gift is in the Archives office file.The file also contains a list of the books, most of which have not been cataloged. A list of the books is available upon request. This collection also contains over 700 etchings and watercolors by Myra Laura Thomas.
