"Eat at Angells"
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of a copy of "Eat at Angell's" by Betty Jo Wilkinson, the granddaughter of Nellie Stillwell Angell. Jeanne Gooden Burkhardt and her husband Ross M. Burkhardt assisted Betty Jo Wilkinson in writing the manuscript. "Eat at Angell's" is a biographical and historical account of the life of Nellie Angell and her family. Wilkinson provides much detail on life and work at Angell's Tea Room, a popular restaurant in Greeley, Colorado. The restaurant became famous due to the Angell Club holding its meetings there. The world-famous author, James A. Michener, was a member of the club.

Biography of Nellie Stillwell Angell: Nellie Stillwell Angell ran the college cafeteria in Guggenheim Hall at Colorado State College of Education for three years in connection with Angell's Tea Room located at 1536 Eighth Avenue. She later moved Angell's Tea Room to 1715 Tenth Avenue.
