JM. James A. Michener Papers and Special Collections

Created in 1978 after James A. Michener donated thirty-seven linear feet of his papers, relating primarily to his novel Centennial. Shortly before his death in 1997 Michener designated the University of Northern Colorado the home of the bulk of his writing and publishing legacy. The James A. Michener Papers and Special Collection contains a variety of material relating to the James A. Michener's life and work.
