Biography
Impressionist landscape and portrait painter born in Meriden, Connecticut. Worked as a writer and illustrator for the Brazilian American in Rio de Janeiro from 1916-1920. Studied with Lilla Yale at Meriden, Connecticut; Corcoran Art School with Chase, Beaux, Anshutz and Breckenridge at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and also with Ralph Johonnot in New York City.
