Biography

Artist born in 1868 in Plattsburgh, New York. Painted a variety of subjects in oil, watercolor and pastel. Married artist Artus Van Briggle in 1902 and worked as a designer and potter at Van Briggle Pottery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After her husband's death in 1904, became director of the Pottery. Helped organize Broadmoor Art Academy and taught art at the University of Denver. Studied with Charles Dewey in New York City and at the Victoria School in Berlin and the Academy Colarossi in Paris.
