Biography

Painter and designer born in 1888 in Hartford, Conecticut. Created paintings in oil and watercolor, but also worked as an interior designer and textile artist. Won a scholarship in 1923 to study art in Egypt at the tomb of Tutankhamun. Studied in her hometown of Hartford and also in New York City with Marshal Fry.
