Biography

Painter born in 1868 near Warrenton, Virginia. As art department head for Randolph-Macon Woman's College she started a permanent art collection for the institution and endowed funds for future acquisitions. Studied with Twachtman and J.Alden-Weir and at the Academy Julian in Paris in the late 1890s.
