Biography

Artist born in 1884 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Worked in various media including: oil, watercolor, fresco and illustration. Subjects included still lifes, landscapes and the Native Americans of Taos, New Mexico. Restored the historic wallpapers at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia and performed fresco work in New York and elsewhere in the United States. Studied with Dow, Pyle, and Hayley Lever. In Europe studied at the Kaiser Frederick Museum in Berlin as well as in France, Great Britain, Italy and Russia. Also pursued training at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
