Biography
Painter born in 1876 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania who worked in Paris and New York City. Subjects included portraits and genre. Also created murals for the Works Progress Administration. Later became Dean of Fine Arts at two schools: Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and at the University of Miami. Studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and in Paris at the Academy Julian and with Robert-Fleury, Lefebvre, and Bouguereau.
