Biography

Burton Davis Sanborn was born to John Franklin and Jennie N. (Davis) Sanborn in Hardwick, Vermont on November 1, 1859. His father was one of the first Union Colonists and worked in the lumber business and started Greeley’s first furniture store. Sanborn & Houston was one of Greeley's oldest real estate and insurance companies. Before his death in 1914, Sanborn increasingly focused on agricultural real estate and the development of irrigation systems
