Biography

Thurza Theda Thomas was born to Calvin Henry and Sophia Paulina Nickum Thomas on July 9, 1884 in Greeley, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, B.A., 1911; and the University of Colorado, M.A. She taught and was principal at the Wyatt School, Ault, Colorado for many years. She also taught summer school in Routt County, Colorado for a while. Thurza was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Union Colony Pioneer Society, Woman's Panhellenic Association of Greeley, and attended the First Congregational Church. She died on September 3, 1963.
