Biography
Yuri Nakata was a close friend of Mari Michener. She first met Mari Michener in the 1950s when both women worked for the American Library Association in Chicago. They retained their friendship through the years, speaking weekly on the telephone. Yuri Nakata was the first Government Documents Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
