Special Education and Rehabilitation
Collection Scope and Contents
The UNC College of Education and Behavioral Sciences collection documents the history of the college since 1952. It contains reports, publications, correspondence, meeting minutes, and administrative files on a number of the College's programs and units. Of these, the School of Special Education, School of Teacher Education, Vocational Teacher Training, New Nursery, Kephart Center, Educational Media Department, and Colorado View program are particularly well documented. In addition there is material documenting degree programs, instruction and curriculum, summer programs, international programs, faculty, and committees. A number of boxes contain subject files documenting a broad range of the College's departments and activities. This collection also has films from the Kephart Center, Glenhaven in-service training, and a film series by Arthur W. Combs. A large amount of accreditation materials can be found in unprocesssed portions of the collection.
