Chapels
Scope and Contents
Cranford Hall, the first building on campus, had a chapel. President Crabbe (1916-24) required students to attend chapel. The Associated Students of Colorado State College of Education presented a check for $5,000 to President William R. Ross during Insignia Day "for the construction of a nondenomincational chapel." Although many possible sites for a separate building were discussed during the years, it was decided that a special room would be built in the University Center. The International Meditation Room was dedicated on October 21, 1967. During a remodel of the University Center the International Meditation Room was removed. see also -- University Center see also -- Cranford Hall
