Associate Vice-Provost for Research records, 1995 - 2012

 Series
Identifier: Series 3

Series Scope and Contents

This series includes material from Robbyn Wacker’s tenure as Assistant Vice President for Research, a position she held from 2005-2009 within the Office of Academic Affairs. The series documents a number of topics and activities beyond research. As an assistant vice president, Wacker was involved in a number of campus-wide initiatives before she became provost, and records reflecting this scenario can be found here. Of note, there is a fair amount of information on international education and research initiatives in various colleges and departments across UNC.

Series 3 Processing Information

When Archives received Provost Wacker's files in 2019, they included UNC-related materials that she had maintained prior to her becoming provost. These materials relate to her former positions which often crossed into Academic Affairs business, especially when she was Assistant Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School. Materials clearly relating to the Graduate School and other units were transferred to their respective collections, but most of the material was thought to relate to her work as Assistant Vice President for Research, and that is what can be found within this series.
