Acquisition #39 (2005-2006). This collection consists of one scrapbook (12 1/2"x14") that documents the history of educational television at Colorado State College (now the University of Northern Colorado). Included in the scrapbook were three slides: a black/white "KUNC TV" title slide; a color slide of the interior of the television station; and  a black/white slide "Produced by ITV University of Northern Colorado."  The scrapbook and slides have been scanned and photocopies made of all of the pages in the scrapbook. Historical Note: Dr. William Robert Ross "enthusiastically encouraged the growth of television" on the campus of Colorado State College (now the University of Northern Colorado). Closed circuit television (CCTV) was first installed in the Lab School during spring semester of 1962. Closed circuit television first appeared in college classrooms on October 13, 1964. Two faculty members involved in educational television included Dr. Frank Jamison, director of the Colorado State College television project, and Dr. Harold Bowman, director of the Instructional Materials Center.
