James A. Michener Centennial papers
Scope and Contents
James A. Michener's papers relate to the writing and publishing of Centennial, although there are some materials not related to the book. The folders are in original order and many include James Michener's description of the materials. Included are notes, outlines, manuscripts, proofs, galleys, correspondence, documents, printed materials, maps, photographs, slides, awards and honors, and other ephemera.

The collection was donated by James A. Michener, 1972-1978.
Method of Acquisition
The original inventory was prepared by Archival Services staff in 1999 and placed on the James A. Michener Library's website.
