Collection Scope and Contents

This collection consists of materials related to the Division of Student Affairs and the Dean of Students Office. It includes annual reports, financial reports, budgets, Minority Student Progress Reports, and meeting minutes. Materials associated with the Summer Institute, the Mortar Board honorary society, Honors Convocations, and Challengers are also included.

Organizational History

Over the years, the office involved with student affairs has had several titles: Dean of Students, Deans of Men and Women, and Vice President for Student Affairs. The office is responsible for non-academic relations of the college with students.

Abstract

This collection contains materials related to the Division of Student Affairs and the Dean of Students Office. It includes annual reports, financial and budget information, minutes, and materials related to the Mortar Board honorary society.

Acquisition Information

Much of the material in this collection was received from Jean Schober Morrell, Dean of Students, in 2006 and 2007. One document transferred from the Office of the Registrar records (RG008-S005) in June 2021 (into box #RG009.0019). It is not known when the original files were received.
