Emlen House Production films
Scope and Contents
Emlen House Production Films consists of 21 documentary productions narrated by James A. Michener. Subjects addressed include: sports in America- the black athlete, children in sports, women in sports; film, dance, theater, and art in Poland, Spain, Hawaii, the South Pacific, Israel, Pope John Paul II, a dialogue between James A. Michener and Lowell Thomas, and a series titled Michener's U.S.A which deals with specific regions of the United States.
The collection consists of both the 16mm motion picture prints, 3/4" video masters and VHS copies for public use. Most of the documentaries are 60 minutes in length though there are some which are 30 minutes long.
