Abstract

This collection contains materials related to the UNC Graduate School and International Admissions department. It includes Graduate Council minutes, budgets, admission records, departmental self-studies, and program reviews.

Acquisition Information

In 2005, Marsha Woodruff of the Graduate School transferred to Archives a box of Graduate School admissions and plagiarism reports on microfiche along with photographs of graduate students (Acq. #13). Nine boxes of materials and a map were received in 2009 (Acq. 09.22), and in 2010, 28 boxes were received from Financial Services (Acq. 10.05). In 2013, Frances Braafhart of the Graduate School transferred Graduate Council notebooks (1994-2003) to the Archives (Acq. 13.08 & 13.11). In 2015, posters and magnetic banners related to the Higher Learning Commission were transferred along with the 1995-96 annual report of the Graduate School and the 2002 Bylaws of the Graduate Council (Acq.15.19). Linda Black, Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School and International Admissions, transferred 4 boxes of materials in 2017 (Acq. 17.31). In 2018, Archives received copies of the Fall 2017 program for The Dean’s Citation for Excellence and Outstanding Thesis/Dissertation/Capstone (Acq.18.04). One miscellaneous memo tranferred from UNC Office of the Registrar records (RG008-S005) in June 2021 (to box RG007.063).
