Collection Scope and Contents
The Stryker Institute for Leadership Development records collection contains both internal and public materials that document the institute’s activities and programs. Public materials include event booklets and news clippings highlighting the institute’s public engagement. Internal materials consist of programming and curriculum binders, as well as email correspondence related to organizational planning and administration. The collection also includes scrapbook materials, quilts, and awards that illustrate the institute’s achievements and community impact.

Organizational History
The Stryker Institute for Leadership Development was established in the fall of 2001 with support from Ronda E. Stryker, the William D. Johnston Foundation, and the University of Northern Colorado. The institute’s mission is to provide leadership training for women from underrepresented groups. It offers seminars, scholarships, and practical opportunities for students to develop and apply leadership skills. The institute is housed in Scott-Willcoxon Hall.
