Scope and Contents
This collection includes snapshots taken by Thomas M. Bost during three events in 1997-1998 that celebrated James A. Michener's life. Thomas M. Bost took photographs during all of these events. The University of Texas at Austin kicked off these events with a Birthday Tribute to James A. Michener on 1997 February 3. The same year the James A. Michener Library at the University of Northern Colorado held a 25th Anniversary and Rededication on 1997 October 3. The following year the James A. Michener Library at the University of Northern Colorado held an Opening Day Celebration of the James A. Michener Special Collection on 1998 September 11.

Thomas M. Bost, a collector from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was born on July 30, 1939 to Bennett and Elizabeth Bost in Chicago, Illinois.
