Dan Parker Civil War correspondence
Abstract
Primarily correspondence from Dan Parker to his family, consisting of 60 handwritten letters. The letters have been digitally scanned and are available on Digital UNC.
Users should be warned that some of the text from this collection is considered racially offensive. The materials are presented verbatim in order to provide an accurate historical view of common depictions of African Americans during the Civil War.
