This collection contains documents relating to Robert Larson's writing, research, and work at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). Such items include correspondence, speeches, and drafts of books and articles. Manuscripts for "Red Cloud: Warrior Statesman of the Lakota Sioux," "Shaping Educational Change," "Gall: Lakota War Chief," and "New Mexico Populism: A Study of Radical Protest in a Western Territory" are included. It also contains old newspaper clippings and photographic negatives.

The former identifier number for this collection was RG006-S011-F1. It was changed in December 2017 during the RG collection management project for the purpose of identifying all faculty papers under the special collections classification (SC). Also, material originally part of RG006-S003-F2 (UNC Faculty Publications and Publications Records) was transferred to the Robert Larson papers.
