This collection contains information on the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Natural and Health Sciences. This includes newspaper and magazine clippings on the college, academic program plans, accreditation information, newsletters, reports, correspondence, brochures and flyers, program self-study reports, course information and schedules, faculty promotion, tenure, sabbatical, evaluation, and salary policies, budget reports, materials related to an annual “Women’s Healthcare Forum” 2002-2005, copies of professional journals, cassette tapes and slides from presentations, and recreation program photos. There is also one CD containing 126 images of the UNC Cancer Rehabilitation Center.

Organizational History

The College of Natural and Health Sciences has gone through several name and organizational changes.

The College of Health and Human Services was established in 1982 by President Robert C. Dickeson. In 1990 it merged with the College of Human Performance and Leisure Studies to become the College of Health and Human Sciences.

In the former College of Health and Human Sciences, the School of Human Sciences was created from the former Departments of Communication Disorders, Community Health and Nutrition, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. The Schools of Nursing and Sport and Exercise Sciences were carried over from that College into the new College of Natural and Health Sciences in July 2005.

This collection contains information on the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Natural and Health Sciences. The majority of materials comes from the office of the dean of the college and pertains to administrative affairs.

Variant Identifier Number

The former identifier numbers for this collection were RG007-S009HHS, RG007-S009NHS, and RG007-S009HPLS. In January 2018, this material was combined into a single collection and the identifier number updated for the purpose of consistent identifier numbers during the RG collection management project.
