Collection Scope and Contents
This collection primarily consists of 46 bound volumes of minutes and records of the Associated Students for the years 1928-30, 1932-66, and 1969-73. The early volumes contain council minutes, committee minutes, and financial information. Later volumes include correspondence, programs for student activities, Christmas cards, clippings, photographs, and various iterations of the organization’s constitution. There is a small amount of unbound materials including clippings, publications, and correspondence. There are also photographs of officers and representatives on Student Council and Associated Students. Also, included in this collection is a notebook containing the Young Women’s Christian Association minutes, committee reports, and constitution from 1910.

Organizational History
A student government was established in 1912. The student newspaper, The Crucible, printed the organization’s Constitution in their February 1912 issue. “Organized Student Body of the State Teachers College of Colorado” was listed as the name of the new student government. The student body was represented by The Student Cabinet. The 1913 Cache La Poudre student yearbook states, “The purpose of the Student Cabinet is to represent the Student Body in council with the President of the college in such matters as concern both school and students.” In 1979, the Associated Students was replaced by the Student Representative Council.

Transferred from Donna Pendry, Administrative Clerk for Student Activities, July 23, 1991. Photographs transferred from the Senate Chamber Board Room in March 2019.
