Correspondence, photographs, personal papers, clippings, and postcards ranging from 1937-1986 that were retrieved by Ken Clark's mother from the Micheners’ home in Tinicum, PA, in 1994. The correspondence is primarily between James Michener and Mari Michener as they traveled through Asia and Europe respectively in 1956-1957. The photographs depict the Micheners' travels through Tahiti, Egypt, and Israel, as well as their home in Tinicum, PA. The personal papers consist of books, financial records, a set of dental x-rays, and other personal papers from the Micheners' house in Tinicum, PA. It includes records from Mari Michener's time as a student at Antioch College in 1942. The clippings consist of newspaper and magazine clippings, mostly pertaining to James Michener. The Events series contains documents from the honorary doctorate awarded to James Michener by Lafayette College in 1972, as well as from the James Michener Tribute Day that took place in Tinicum, PA, on May 8th, 1985. The postcard series contains blank postcards from Israel, Japan, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Turkey, France, and the U.S.
