Scope and Contents The Marian Gallery is located in Guggenheim Hall and is "operated and maintained by the School of Art & Design." Mariani Gallery is named for John Irving Mariana, who served in several positions at the University of Northern Colorado from 1936-1973, including Instructor in Arts Assistant Professor of Arts; Associate Professor of Art; Professor Fine Arts; and Chair of the Fine Arts Department, 1969-1971.
