McCowen Hall, dedicated in 1963, was named after Annie Margaret McCowen, Professor of Elementary Education, 1921-58. Archives has excerpts from Professor McCowen's diaries in Special Collection 63. McCowen Hall was demolished in 2008 and replaced by New West Campus Residence Hall-North.
