Documents supporting the artwork, originally housed in a binder and then transferred into folders, containing information in the form of correspondence about the artwork in the collection and invoices from obtaining the artwork.

This series is divided into two sub-series. The Artists Files subseries (1.1) includes photographs, documents, and correspondence used in research for specific artists within the collection. Subseries 1.2, Reference Cards, consists of reference cards with citations used in research.
