Baker, F. E. (Frank Edwin), 1849-1939
Biography
Frank Edwin Baker was born in Wisconsin on October 7, 1849. He married Harriet E. Davis on the Thompson near the site of present day Loveland in 1872. For three years they lived in Greeley and returned to Illinois for a short period before making Greeley their permanent home. F. E. Baker owned a photography gallery in Greeley circa 1893-1901. He sold the gallery in February 1902. Archival Services has several photographs by F. E. Baker in its collections; however there is no complete list of photograph holdings by Baker. Frank Edwin passed away in Watertown, Massachusetts on November 10, 1939 according to records at Mount Auburn Cemetery. He was cremated on November 13, 1939 and his remains were buried in the Davis Family plot at Loveland, Colorado on October 14, 1944. No obituary has been found for F. E. Baker.

This collection consists of twenty-seven photographs of the Colorado State Normal School Class of 1893, two publications, and miscellaneous items. Both the photographs and miscellaneous items are kept in the original red velvet box (7 3/4"x5 1/4"x2 1/4"). The red velvet box has been wrapped in archival tissue paper and placed in an archival box (5 1/2"x12"x5")
