 Sub-Series
Identifier: Sub-Series 6

Scope and Contents

A student government was established in 1912. The student newspaper, The Crucible, printed the organization's Constitution in their February 1912 issue. "Organized Student Body of the State Teachers College of Colorado" was listed as the name of the new student government. The student body was represented by The Student Cabinet. The 1913 Cache La Poudre student yearbook lists the purpose of the cabinet as "The purpose of the Student Cabinet is to represent the Student Body in council with the President of the college in such matters as concern both school and students." In 1979 the Associated Students was replaced by the Student Representative Council. Sources consulted: "The Student Body," The Crucible, Feb. 1912, pp. 159-161.
