Around the World with Dobby
Scope and Contents
Jule Statton "Dobby" Doubenemier, a professor and coach at Colorado State College of Education (now the University of Northern Colorado) created a series of letters which were sent to former students who served in the military from 1941-1947. Doubenmier Field located at the southeast corner of 14th Avenue and 20th Street is name for him. Jule Statton Doubenmier served in several positions while at the University of Northern Colorado from 1927 to 1962, including Assistant Professor of Physical Education, Associate Professor of Physical Education, Professor of Physical Education, and Supervising Teacher, College Elementary and Seconday School.
