Scope and Contents

Tobey-Kendel Hall along with Snyder and Sabin Halls were built in 1936 as a Federal Public Works Project. The hall was remodeled several time to serve primarily as a dining hall. It was last renovateded as part of the Central Campus Renovation Project. Tobey-Kendel Hall currently serves as the dining hall for central campus and houses two departments, Housing and Residence Life as well as Dining Services. Tobey-Kendel Hall is named for two of the university's long-time female professors, Frances Tobey and Elizabeth Hays Kendel.
