Daniels, Joseph F., 1896-1901
Scope and Contents
Joseph Francis Daniels (1865-1921) served as Librarian at the State Normal School of Colorado, 1896-1901. He also taught Art History and Library Science classes. He placed advertisements in the Greeley Tribune in the fall of 1894 offering to hold drawing classes. He taught 8th grade in Greeley School District #6 during the 1984-1895 school year. While librarian at the Normal School he served as a vice president for the Colorado Library Association (CLA). He also gave speeches at the CLA meetings, including "Cleanliness, Elegance and Refinement in a Library" June 16, 1905 and "The Commonwealth Aspect of Library Service" on December 29, 1905. In addition to serving as librarian at the Normal School, he served as librarian at the Greeley Public Library, Colorado State University, and Riverside Library in Riverside, California.
