Collection Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection documents the history, administration, and activities of the University of Northern Colorado Libraries. It contains documentation from both current and defunct units and departments within the library including Technical Services, Acquisitions, Music Library, Collection Development, Lab School Library, and more. It also includes files from various committees, most notably the Library Assessment Committee and Development Advisory Board. A good part of the collection documents exhibits in the Mari Michener Gallery. There is also general documentation on employees such as photographs, hiring activities, and evaluation information. It also contains information on the Michener building and dedication. Administrative materials include reports, correspondence, memos, and lists. There are flyers, brochures, audio-visual materials, and library publications. There are also drafts and research notes pertaining to various articles and a "History of the UNC Libraries" research project being completed by librarian Frank. X. Roberts. In addition, there are artifacts of library memorabilia that was used in the library or used as promotional materials.
