Guide to Resource Conservation on Campus, circa 2008-2019

 File — Box: RG15.S1-S6, S14

Scope and Contents

Produced by Facilities Management, this guide describes UNC's resource conservation program. Some of the changes implemented include: becoming an Energy Star Partner, expanding the non-potable water system for irrigation and switiching over 1,000,000 lamps to energy efficient light bulbs. The guide seeks to educate students, staff and faculty by offering tips on how to conserve water and energy, reduce waste and use alternative forms of transportation including walking, biking or riding the city bus. A "Pledge to Conserve" postcard and a list of nine "Commitment to Conserve on Campus" actions is included at the end of the guide.
