Delta Sigma Epsilon Sorority Paddle
Scope and Contents
Light colored wood, 3 1/4"x20". A shoestring with an olive green and cream diamond design is attached to a hole at the top of the paddle. Olive green and cream were the official colors of the sorority. One side of the paddle has the Greeke letters inscribed in dark wood. Prominent names inscribed on the paddle include George W. Frasier, President of the University of Northern Colorado, 1924-1948 and Frasier Hall is named for him; Edith Gale Wiebking, Emeritus Professor of Home Economics who taught at the University, 1920-1957 and Wiebking Hall is name for her; Grace Wilson Emeritus Professor of Education and Dean of Womean who taught at the University, 1916-1953 and Wilson Hall is name for her; and Price "Hoppy" Hopkins, graduated with a B.A. in 1930 from the University, taught Business Education 1941-1943, and later served two terms as Greeley's mayor.
