Material created during Tessa J. Dalton's work with James A. Michener during research for his book Centennial. This material was later used in Michener and John King's book, In Search of Centennial.
Books along with other items were given to the library by Sarah Thomas, widow of Dan Thomas, c 1971, when the Thomas home near Ault was sold. William Southard of Greeley was the attorney. Correspondence about the gift is in the Archives office file.The file also contains a list of the books, most of which have not been cataloged. A list of the books is available upon request. This collection also contains over 700 etchings and watercolors by Myra Laura Thomas.
