Biography

"Lydia Ruyle and Ruth Savig, adjunct faculty members of the College of Visual and Performing Arts for her May, 1990, Centennial Cornrnencernent Ceremony," designed the University of Northern Colorado banners that are used at commencement, convocation and other events. Ruth Savig taught art at the University of Northern Colorado from 1989-1998 and 2000-2002.

Scope and Contents The Centennial Graduation Banners used at the 1990 Centennial Graduation in May 1990 were created by Lydia Ruyle, Mary Ellen Kingsbury, and Ruth Savig for the College of Performing and Visual Arts (PVA), College of Education, The Graduate School, College of Business Administration, College of Health and Human Services, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Scope and Contents The academic banners were official banners used at University of Northern Colorado ceremonies such as Convocation and Commencement. The soft ones were replaced in 2011 by a new design. The elements of these were co-designed by Aluma Lydia Ruyle and Ruth Savig. The donor was unsure where the vinyl ones were used.
